Provide Automated Feedback with Feedback Fruits
There is an exciting addition to Feedback Fruits, the Automated Feedback feature. Instructors can now set up activities that provide AI-generated Automatic Feedback. This feature enables students to review and improve their written tasks prior to the final submission. Select to provide Automated Feedback as a standalone tool, part of Peer Review or Assignment Review activities.
Note: This tool should be used to provide formative feedback to students on written tasks, rather than a graded assessment task.

Turn your Padlet board into an Interactive Poll
Wondering how to engage your students in a Padlet activity? You can now add an interactive poll to your Padlet board, to actively engage students in an ice-breaker activity, make predictions about session content, or reflect on what they have learned. Polling results can be accessed by participants after they have voted.
To start a poll, create a new post (1) within your Padlet board. Then select Poll (3) from More Attachment Types (2). Lastly, remember to share your board with your students.
Pin important news to the top!
Ensure students don’t miss important news or announcements, by using Pin to Top. Using this option keeps your news item at the top of the page, providing quick easy access to grab attention to essential updates.
To add a pin, simply select Pin to top from the dropdown next to the News Item.

Learning & Teaching
The keynote address for this year’s Scholarship of Teaching & Learning Forum has been announced!
This year’s address will be delivered by Professor Margaret Bearman from the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning (CRADLE), Deakin University, on the topic of Tertiary education for a world with artificial intelligence.
This keynote will explore how teaching and learning in tertiary education may need to adapt to an increasingly technology-dependent world. In a time when generative AI has hit the headlines, we may need to shift our emphasis toward orienting students to quality through meaningful interactions. A range of strategies will be proposed that will help students learn to work in an increasingly complex digitally-mediated world.
The Forum is running in-person and live-streamed from Footscray Park on Tuesday the 26th of September.
