Get Block Ready
To get block ready, find out about creation dates, spaces, checklist and more.
1. When are Delivery Spaces created?
Delivery spaces will be available two weeks before your teaching period starts, and five weeks prior for Placement units. For details, see the VU calendar.
2. Which Master Space will be used?
*UG: undergraduate; *PG: postgraduate

3. What should I check before the block starts?
Review and adjust all VU Collaborate delivery space components before student access using this checklist.
4. How do I find my delivery/teaching spaces?
Your delivery space will be listed under the term code (e.g., 2025-H1B1 for 2025, HE Semester 1, Block 1). Learn how to search for your delivery space.
Final Fridays
Check your Outlook Calendar for scheduled Final Fridays each block. Please ensure your results are finalised in VU Collaborate by 5 pm that day.
Results will be released to students the following Monday. For more details on Final Friday, refer to Everything you need to know about Final Friday

New Search Function Coming Soon
Exciting news! We will soon be launching a new search feature in VU Collaborate. This powerful tool allows you to quickly locate content within a single unit space or across all spaces you have access to.
Our full-text search covers everything from topic pages and files (such as Word, PowerPoint, and PDF documents) to assessments, quizzes (only teacher can search for questions or answers), announcements and more. Get ready for a more efficient way to find what you need! Stay tuned for more details.

[Workshop] VU Collaborate – Block Ready Sessions
Join us to review your unit’s content, refresh learning activities and check assessment settings; whether you are a unit convenor or teaching staff.
This workshop consists of three smaller sessions:
- 9:30 – 10:30 AM: Copying Components in VU Collaborate
- 10:30 – 11:30 AM: Ensure Your Space is Ready for Delivery
- 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Managing Multi-Class Units
