✨ Don’t worry! Your content and assessment setup stay exactly the same!
Here’s what’s changed:
- Groups: now under the Assessments tab (previously in Communication)
- Video (Panopto): now in the Tools tab
- Assessments and Communication tabs have swapped places
Stay tuned! More updates are coming to VU Collaborate in 2025 and beyond.

New in Groups: Export and bulk add students via CSV file
Coming soon! Two handy updates in the Groups tool:
🟣 Export group data – now available
Download enrolment details as a CSV file, perfect for tracking group assessment or grabbing group-specific classlists. Simply select a group or category, and the export will include details such as group names, student enrolments, and dates.
🟣 Bulk enrol students – coming soon
Quickly bulk allocate students into groups using a CSV file. The new Import option walks you through the format and checks for errors before making changes.
These updates make group setup and management faster and more flexible than ever! Check out our Creating Assessment Groups in VU Collaborate to get started.

Quizzes – New Quiz Evaluation View is now default!
Starting at the end of July 2025, the new quiz evaluation interface will become the default for all instructors, and the old version will no longer be accessible.
Now’s the perfect time to explore the updated layout and features. Need a hand? Check out our step-by-step guide: Marking a Quiz.

New in Quizzes: Reopen Submitted Attempts
Coming soon! You will be able to reopen a student’s submitted quiz attempt, allowing them to resume from where they left off. This feature is particularly useful if a student runs out of time or encounters technical issues, reducing frustration and providing greater flexibility in quiz management.
Previously, once a quiz was submitted, it couldn’t be reopened. With this update, you can return a quiz attempt to an unsubmitted state and adjust time limits if needed.
