On-Campus Hives are back!

In light of the City Tower opening, we are excited to inform you that our on-campus Hive drop-ins are back in City Tower and Footscray Park. Drop in to ask us anything or bring your laptops and work along with us between 9 am to 4 pm on selected days, or simply come and say hi to our lovely staff members.

On-Campus Hive drop-ins are available on

  • City Tower (T1516) – every Tuesday
  • Footscray Park (A202) – every Wednesday

Respondus LockDown Browser (RLDB)

For invigilated tests or quizzes held on-campus, you can request to enable Respondus LockDown Browser (RLDB).

Please send an email to VUCollaborateHelp@vu.edu.au with the information below.

  • Your Unit Code & Teaching Period
  • Confirm that your test will be on-campus and invigilated
  • Indicate if students are bringing their own device, or which Computer Lab you have booked

For the time being RLDB remains disabled in VU Collaborate for all Higher Education units, and will only be activated for on-campus invigilated tests by request. This is due to limitations in its capacity to effectively prevent cheating in an online un-invigilated test setting, and issues relating to providing adequate remote technical support.

To find out more, refer to our guide: Respondus Lockdown Browser

H5P Confusion Indicator

Improve your H5P content and activities with the Confusion Indicator. Enabling this feature will allow students and participants to leave their feedback to you and collaborators directly on the H5P activity.

This feature is very helpful to review and improve teaching content at the end of your teaching block, especially for self-paced learning activities and units.

Tip of The Month

Students can now participate in H5P The Chase, Multi-poll and WordCloud from their mobile devices. We are pleased to announce this feature in response to your requests for quicker access to The Chase activity.

Students can simply go to go.h5p.com and enter the game code, which will take them straight to the activity. See our guide for more information.
